Associated Fire Protection (AFP) is a full-service fire protection company that specializes in, and installs, fire protection systems.  AFP designs, installs, and maintains fire alarms, fire sprinklers, clean agents and other fire suppression and kitchen hood systems.

Associated Fire Protection was founded in Omaha, NE in 1993 with the goal of providing installation and maintenance services for special hazard systems, fire alarm & detection systems, portable fire extinguishers, and kitchen hood systems.  In addition to commercial fire alarm, AFP offers specialized alarm, detection, and fire suppression / Halon replacement solutions for power generation facilities, oil & natural gas pumping stations, data centers and computer rooms, telecommunication centers, and any other unique complex.  AFP installers and integrators are experts at interfacing with building management systems, such security systems for remote monitoring or HVAC fans and dampers for smoke control or smoke management systems.

In 2004, Associated Fire Protection welcomed the addition of the Fire Sprinkler Division.  The Fire Sprinkler Division provides design, installation, and maintenance services for all types of fire sprinkler systems, including dry & wet pipe, pre-action, deluge, fixed spray, and foam.  AFP now has three divisions (Systems and Special Hazard, Fire Sprinkler, and Service and Support) to provide fire protection solutions for all buildings types from small-scale strip malls and elementary schools to large multi-building power generation facilities and university campuses.

Since its inception in 1993, Associated Fire Protection has performed work locally throughout the Midwest, nationally from coast to coast, across U.S. territories and globally in Europe, Asia, Australia, and North and South Americas.  Today, AFP employs approximately 50 full-time designers, installers, integrators and support technicians.  AFP has expanded to a full-service and design company offering new installation, retrofits (both turn-key & complete upgrades), integration with building management, Clean Agent Halon alternatives, fire suppression systems, and fire sprinkler systems.  In addition to installation, AFP offers periodic maintenance and is available for 24/7/365 emergency service calls.

Jim Blaszak began his career in 1978 working for a family-owned fire protection company in Omaha, NE.  Shortly after the original company was sold, Associated Fire Protection was founded in 1993 with the goal of providing fire protection services to the Midwest region and has since expanded to include national and international fire protection services.  His wife and two sons work alongside him at AFP.

Bob Suponchick has been in the fire protection industry since 1988 working as a fire alarm technician. In 1993, Associated Fire Protection was founded and continues to strive toward creating the safest fire protection environment for commercial and industrial facilities throughout the United States.
